Acquire Domains: 3 Aged & 6 Brandable Domains

Last week’s poll on whether I should feature additional listings outside Flippa was unanimous:

Let’s see what happens next, but for now we remain focussed…

Although having said that, this week I’ve not picked any content sites as have run out of time before some great domains finish at auction, in the next hour.

But I’ve been working hard on some great reports I’ll be dropping here in the next couple of weeks.

New Flippa Listings

Since last week, there were 18 new content site listings on Flippa (+7 on last week) earning > $100/m with verified traffic (GA integration) over 2 years in age:

Small content sites ($100/m to $500/m in profit) - currently 72 listings, 11 new listings (10 auction, 1 classified)

Medium content sites ($500/m-$5K/m in profit) - currently 97 listings, 7 new listings (7 auction, 0 classified)

Large content sites (over $5K/m in profit) - currently 20 listings, 0 new listings (0 auction, 0 classified)

Aged Domains

BornTechie.com on Odys - $4,360

This used to be a tech site, and looking at the anchors (mostly brand) it used to have a page on best online storage:

So I’d start by creating content around these types of low-competition keywords:

PianoCircus.com on Odys - $4K

Site used to be about a piano festival with 6 pianists. Well, I was forced to be one and do grades as a kid to the point where I stopped enjoying it. So I’d start building out a site around the seed keyword “why play piano” and create content for these low-comp KWs:

beachhunters.com on Godaddy

DA33 with 1300 referring domains, still getting traffic according to Semrush. Great name for a travel brand, even with the double h. Although looking at archive.org its previous incarnation was as a ‘Beach Hunters Voyeur Community’ with nude pics, and the referring domains are from porn sites. Which makes the high current bid at $4,700 make sense, one hour left at auction.

Just 20 minutes left at auction on this one, solid brand name which is why the current bid is at $1,425 without any SEO value.

maketheswitch.com on Godaddy

One hour left at auction, current bid $2K but doesn’t look like an SEO domain. Likely just a great name for a price comparison type of site.

biologyhacks.com on Godaddy

For a The Four Hour Body style authority site (and/or book). 3 hours left at auction.

headlinemonkey.com on Godaddy

I like this for a news summary website or newsletter. 22 hours left at auction.

notyoutoo.com on Godaddy

Cool name, could be used for audience building in any niche. 22 hours left at auction.

singleproof.com on Godaddy

Whiskey authority site or ecommerce brand? UFC star Conor McGregor had a 9 figure exit in this space. 22 hours left at auction
