π ACQUISITION NEWS
This month, Netflix is reportedly exploring a potential bid to acquire the studio and streaming business of Warner Bros. Discoveryβincluding its film & TV studio and the HBO / Max/ HBO Max (π)service.
If the deal goes through, Netflix would gain ownership of major IP like the Harry Potter universe and the DC Comics franchises, and make a major strategic leap from streaming distributor to full-fledged media studio.
Netflix is now actively exploring the possibility of buying Warner Bros
Netflix has hired the same investment bank that advised Skydance when they bought Paramount
